ISPCP Capacity Building Webinar Series

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Technical Engagement team, in collaboration with the Internet Service Providers and Connectivity Providers (ISPCP) constituency, is presenting a series of training sessions aimed at both technical and non-technical individuals, focusing on topics related to the Domain Name System (DNS). These sessions are intended for all Internet Service Providers (ISPs) globally.

DNS 101 - This webinar in an introductory session, laying the foundation for all subsequent sessions. DNS 101 explains how the DNS technically works, and provides an overview of basic DNS concepts, its structure, how it is designed and why, and its most important operational characteristics.

DNSSEC 101
- DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC) is the security update that all DNS servers should implement. From a resolution point of view, today, the cost is practically zero and from an authoritative server’s point of view there are many good practices and examples that you can follow while implementing it in the way that is most convenient for you. This globally adopted protocol is a consensus-based best practice that all ISPs should adopt. This webinar explains how the protocol works.
